Danish Pastry House is a company founded on a deep respect and love for the centuries old tradition of hand crafting authentic wienerbrød (Vienna Bread), known throughout the world as Danish pastry.

As a Dane, growing up in a Danish household, my love for authentic Danish pastry began at a very early age. I still remember the times I clung to a box of wienerbrød as my plane left Denmark to come back to Canada. I knew I might not be experiencing it for a while so it made my departure bittersweet. Naturally, one of my favourite family baking traditions was learning to roll and fold danish dough by hand - not without frustration at times! Always a challange to get it "just right" and so satisfying when I did.
