It's Heart Made, Hand Finished!

Maya Charbin has always been driven to explore the unknown, looking for unfamiliar objects, places and experiences. Lebanese-born and based in Toronto, her design aesthetic marries global textile traditions with experimentation of unconventional materials.

Maya had initially majored in sociology, worked as a make-up artist for M.A.C Cosmetics, but her relentless passion drove her to explore new territories.

After being a mother of 2 kids the passionate designer joined Esmod International Fashion University Group to realize her childhood dream.

She graduated in June 2014 holding 3 awards.

She was selected to display her graduation collection in the biggest department store in Beirut, her work marked a sensuality begging to be worn and touched.

As Maya herself says, “I drape a lot. I cut. I have to touch. For me it is almost impossible to start without that.”
